About BRICSS
BRICSS (British Indian Colorectal Surgical Society) is a registered UK charity founded in 2016 to support and advance colorectal surgical practice in the United Kingdom and internationally.

"British Indian Colorectal Surgical Society (BRICSS) has been founded to provide a professional home for colorectal surgeons of Indian origin in the UK and our colleagues overseas, with a clear focus on excellence in patient care, education and research. As founding President, it is a privilege to lead a society whose central aim is to support, improve and maintain the highest standards of colorectal surgical practice by creating a strong, values‑driven community. BRICSS seeks to mentor and advocate for its members at national and international platforms, promote the advancement of colorectal surgery through collaborative study, research and training, and build enduring partnerships with sister specialties and overseas colleagues for the benefit of patients in both the UK and India. In keeping with its charitable purpose, the society is committed to inclusive multidisciplinary engagement, transparent and prudent stewardship of its resources, and the creation of structured pathways that help the next generation of surgeons understand the NHS, integrate into UK practice and progress their careers. This platform marks the beginning of that shared journey, and all medical professionals who share these aspirations are warmly invited to contribute, participate and help shape the future work of BRICSS."
